Finally after all of these years one of my childhood baseball heroes has been elected to the Hall of Fame. Jim Rice will finally be recognized for what he was: a Yankee killer, a home run machine and a damn good baseball player.
Now maybe let’s add Shoeless Joe, Charlie Hustle and a handful of others that have been left out and slap Hall of Fame on the door. I can’t wait to see #14 getting hung on the façade at Fenway!
