I have recently returned to the boondocks after watching an exhilarating football game. Our local Tennessee Titans managed to throw a beat down on the team all of the experts thought would beat them, the Pittsburgh Steelers. With the win Tennessee clinches home field advantage through the playoffs. The Green Machine was nice enough to share his seats with me and we had a blast. Also a blast was the frigid air temperatures and strong winds swirling around LP Field today.
To make things much worse, not only was it cold outside but for some reason my car’s heater stopped working this morning so I was cold from 9:00am until almost 5:00pm when I got home. I still have cold burns on my hands and nose and am hoping the feeling returns to my baby toe.
Here are a few scenes from the big day:
I bet this couple had a fun ride home.
If I knew Santa was a Steelers fan I would never have asked him for anything.
Ben Roethlisberger didn’t know it yet but he was in for a bad day.
I was incredibly disappointed in how many Pittsburgh fans were in the stadium today. Shame on you Titan fans that sold your tickets.
I am pretty sure that I overheard someone say something about “ho ho ho” being very appropriate at this scene.
By this point the Titans had the number seeding locked up.
What an amazing time I had. I am so lucky to have had such a good time, a good game to watch, a great friend in Green Machine and all of my appendages safe from frost bite.
