My New Favorite Football Team

Most of you know that I am a diehard New England Patriots fan. Some of you know that I root for the University of Miami (FL) Hurricanes football team. An even smaller group of you know that I pull for the Mt. Juliet (TN) High School Golden Bears football team.

Today I saw something that turned me (at least for no more than the next four seasons) on to another team. I am the newest bandwagon fan for the Hendersonville (TN) High School Commandoes football team. I received a photo message on my phone that really pumped me up and truly excited me for some football.

The picture was of Little Harry in his brand spanking new football uniform. How awesome it is for dad to see son in a football uniform and pads? But wait, there was something odd about the photo. Hmmm. It appears that the boy just can’t shake his goofiness. I guess he can’t help it, it’s genetic. The photo in question is the one that the local newspaper will use when/if he has a good game or is a star of the game or whatever. The boy manages a double-thumbs-up and, as Uncle Grizz calls it, a “shit-eating grin”. Little Harry found it amusing.

Be sure to support your local high school football teams and please don’t tell my alma mater, MJHS, that I have temporarily shunned them. Oh, and hey, number 45…we are proud of you.
