This morning after dropping The School Girl off at work I decided I really wanted to pop in my Sgt. Pepper’s CD. My CD player is one of those that flips open to allow you to push the disc inside. I hit the button, the screen displayed “OPEN”. It hummed quietly for a second then…nothing. The stupid thing wouldn’t open!
I thought that maybe removing the faceplate would help it. Nothing. Then I powered it on and off. Nothing. So, I stopped and got gas in the car and thought that shutting the entire car off would reset it. I pumped the fuel, got back into the car and after re-starting my vehicle I depressed the open button…nothing.
This is not a sign of an impending great day, is it?
