Monday during our day out the wife and I went to way too many antique stores. We never actually bought anything but sometimes the fun is just in the looking. This one store in Fayetteville had the largest vase/urn I had ever seen. It made The School Girl look very tiny.
We also decided to look at the regular furniture stores that were tucked away inside the old buildings. When I walked upstairs in one store I almost smashed my noggin. One would have thought I was over 7 feet tall or something!
We didn’t buy any new furniture either but from the look of some of it do you really blame us?
Not only was some of the furniture hideous, not all of the fabrics had transitioned out of the 60s/70s completely either.
A nice trip out is never complete without peeping some kind of graffiti. What really caught my attention in this picture is that although Beth D. was ‘here’, she never hesitated to be a vandal and let us all know it regardless of the fact that she had no clue as to what day of the month she was ‘here’. She was also not willing to just make up a date. You have to appreciate an honest hooligan.
Our day was wrapped up all nice and neat when we noticed that the Marshall County Community Theatre had finally decided to put on a new production of a several week hiatus. I will definitely prepare myself for this play. I hope it bears no resemblance to a Gallagher performace. Eeewww!
Okay, please tell me if there is anything better than small towns in the south. Nope, you’re wrong, there isn’t!
