LeBlancs On The Web IV

I did some more rooting around on the ol’ inter-web this morning and came across two musical artists that share my surname and thought I might give them a shout out.

LeBlanc

The first is a young lady named Mandi LeBlanc from Texas living in Brooklyn who fronts a band with the greatest name ever…LeBlanc! Okay so I might be a little biased, sue me. Anyway, they have a wonderfully folksy sound reminiscent of Sheryl Crow with a little Blondie tossed in. Go to her MySpace page and take a long listen to their track “Fire Alarm” as it is top-notch.

The second artist I ran across was a Canadian named Ronnie LeBlanc who has this great amalgamated country-hard rock sound that can only bring to mind George Thorogood And The Delaware Destroyers. He really kicks you in the backside.

Gives these people a good listen and support my family members! lol

Update On The Tsar

I haven’t updated in a while on my father-in-law, Ivan The Terrible. The last time I told ya’ll about him everything was coming up roses. Well it has been a roller coaster ride again. Let’s see…he got better and all was looking good was the last thing I talked about. Then he seemed to get sullen again after my brother-in-law had headed off back to Iraq.

The doctors next told us that due to his epiglottis not functioning properly, food particles had gotten into his lungs causing level 3 pneumonia. They followed that with a diagnosis of, and I quote, “It doesn’t look good.”

Epiglottis

Everyone was obviously very upset considering his great turn around of just a couple weeks prior. Then the medications started to actually work and his pneumonia is clearing up. Then his kidneys have started to function correctly. Then he was able to stand for the first time in two months!

Now, the VA Hospital is looking for a rehab center to send him to so that he can build up his strength and go home! It was definitely another miracle. Thanks again for all of the prayers and well-wishes. They obviously go a long, long way.

Scenes From Nashville X

I obviously have a thing for pictures of the sky. Here are a couple more I snapped with the cell phone again from the parking lot at work. They are in the direction of the airport.

Waiting Patiently

We are just back from the store to stockpile party snacks, even though there is no actual party. I needed to have lots of stuff for the Patriots/Jaguars game tonight. You know chicken bites, potato skins, beer, etc. I have a feeling that good things will happen for the Pats. Why? Well, I can’t have it all and to counteract the Pats winning tonight we had to have sacrifices. Yep, the Celtics lost badly to a crap team at home in the Bobcats. I keep forgetting that they are even a professional team. Now Vanderbilt’s men’s basketball team dropped their first game this afternoon to the hated Kentucky Wildcats.

Patriots

It’s all about sacrifice. I will be mondo-nervous tonight unless the Pats start running away with it. I would ask for your support and good wishes but I know better as most of ya’ll are pulling for the Jags.

Happy As A Dog In Snow

That isn’t the saying…anyway, The School Girl emailed me this video and it tickled me so I felt like sharing.

I have never seen a pooch so happy to be playing in the snow and that is a lot of snow indeed!
