Starred Items 3

I had posted the two previous incarnations of “Starred Items” by the end of that particular month. I am about a week behind schedule. Look, if I was getting paid to do this then I would be quicker on the draw, also I starred soooooo many posts in December it was very difficult to choose. I decided to try and pick blogs/bloggers that I have not previously recognized. Anyway, go visit these people’s sites because they are good and you trust my judgement since I am so darn awesome you are here reading this.

Tip Up Your Cups And Throw Your Hands Up

SueBoo sent this to me awhile back. I was watching it again and felt the need to share. These guys are just so darned entertaining.

First The Civil War And Now This

Okay, so maybe that was a little harsh. I was perusing the world wide web this morning as The School Girl is off chiropracting. I was looking for some topics about college football since we are not too far away from the quasi-fictional National Championship game on January 7 (I want a playoff…digressing).

I came across a very interesting site called Motley College Football and began looking through their archives as I tend to do when I discover new sites/blogs and found some photos that I just had to steal borrow share.

South Carolina Fan

Some of you may or may not know that the University of South Carolina’s nickname is the Gamecocks. Of course for the 12 year old (mentally) people out there like myself this is giggle-enducing, especially when they shorten it to just ‘Cocks. (hehehe, I wrote Cocks!)

The student body, from what I understand, really embraces the juvenile aspects of this potentially rude connotation. Whatever…the kids at the school know that it is quite hilarious. I actually, not being a fan of the University or it’s sports teams, once looked for, and considered purchasing, a ballcap that sported the truncated nickname but thought better of it.

The best part of this for me this football season was the added humor of the team’s quarterback. Why is it funnier? His name is Chris Smelley! You know like as in smelly. That is just too funny, right? I think the following picture sums up my childish infatuation with South Carolina.

This is equally as funny as University of Arkansas‘ quarterback…Casey Dick. Hehehe, I said…well, you get the idea.
