Snake And The Evil One XVII: Feline Orbs

My oldest nephew, Snake, has been feeling pretty sick as of late. I hope you get to feeling better buddy. Anyway, the other morning he woke up and told his mom about how his night had been. Apparently, he had not slept too much and coughed a whole bunch.

“It was like I was coughing up cat balls!”

I think he meant “hair balls” not “cat balls”. How can you not love these kids?

(I know that this picture has nothing really to do with the story but it is all I could find and it was damn hilarious.)

Relatively Speaking

Earlier this week, one of The School Girl’s older female cousins from out of state was driving through the Nashville area and had planned on stopping at the hospital to visit my father-in-law. A very nice gesture. This cousin is one that I had never met before and is one with which my wife does not keep any type of contact.

She was driving through town with her boyfriend to another state where she was to be moving. It was suggested that instead of staying in a motel/hotel that they stay at our house. Okay, I am all about family staying with me but I just didn’t feel comfortable about all of this. First of all, this was someone that I did not know (and only slightly known by my wife) and her male companion (that no one knew).

The next morning my wife and I would be leaving very early to head off to work leaving these perfect strangers in our home. Now assuming that they were very honest and respected our property, they still would have no way of leaving our home locked. This was getting all over me.

Suffice it to say, we had no visitors this week. Would any of ya’ll take that chance with your homes?
