The last few years of my life have been good ones. I have a roof over my head. It may not be the best house in the neighborhood but it works for us. By looking at my stomach you can tell that I have not missed too many meals. I really should work on that a bit harder. I have a very fun and loving family. My friends are the greatest that anyone could have. The kids are beautiful and brilliant but did you expect anything less? Most importantly, to me anyway, is that my wife is amazing. She is the most loving and sweetest person ever. She must be good to deal with me everyday.
During this year’s holiday our family will not be celebrating in the traditional way. We will be spending the majority of the holiday holed up in the hospital with The School Girl’s father. I am a tiny bit bummed that there may be no turkey this year; however, we are at least extremely lucky that we have not lost any family members this year and we will be together. It is unfortunate, though that my initial plan of 3 Thanksgivings has been nixed and a nice Bama roadtrip is probably out of the question.
Although God has made it interesting for us this year it obviously hasn’t been anything that we can’t handle. We are very thankful to have everything that we need but mostly for our love. I hope everyone is as thankful and lucky as we have been this year.
