No Longer Living High On The Hog

The Tennessean’s website has this story on its main page:

A Nashville man who beat his girlfriend’s pet pig after the woman kicked him out of the house pleaded guilty to misdemeanor animal cruelty this morning.

Carl Houston was originally charged with aggravated animal cruelty and was facing a felony conviction for beating the animal, which goes by the name of “Bacon Bit,” on November 2006.

Columbus Day Isn’t Much Of A Holiday

I have returned from my trek to Talladega over the weekend and I am dog tired. I won’t even mention my newly acquired red neck that allowed me to be incognito at the races. Now, one would assume that since I work for a major financial institution that I would have the luxury of not working on Columbus Day. One would be incorrect.

Columbus Day

I am very tired and I think that I am in the beginning stages of losing my voice. The scratchiness of my throat leads me to believe that I am obtaining a lovely cold. I just love being sick. **Insert eye roll here.**

For those of you who are interested, I have photos and videos to post sometime (hopefully) this week, not to mention a few amusing stories. I can see that you are waiting with baited breath.

Anyway…Happy Columbus Day everyone.
