Now we didn’t see any fruits that I can recall but The School Girl and I went to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and saw many flowers among other things. We had never been here before so we thought it would be a great idea. We were not disappointed at all. Words cannot express how beautiful and historically interesting this place was so here are a bunch of random pictures.
The drive into Nashville gave us flashbacks to our drive into work! Aaaahhhhhh!
After walking through what is called the East Gardens we made our way up to the main house. It was spectacular to say the least…33,000 square feet!
Unfortunately, photography was not allowed inside the house. I didn’t read anywhere that said no video, though!
Here we are in a sunroom type area. The School GIrl is scolding me, afraid that we will get kicked out.
I am now in the dining room, standing directly underneath the security camera. As John Cena would say, “You can’t see me!”
We then walked the grounds specifically around the house.
We then finished up the West Gardens and the rest of the estate.
This is the family’s pet cemetary (or is it their Pet Semetary…ooh, scary!).
As we walked through the wooded area we kept hearing sounds as if we were being followed. We decided it must have been the squirrels and these deer that are hidden behind the trees.
It was getting near rush hour time so we left and jumped on the Trace to head to Columbia. We always go to Cracker Barrel for our anniversary dinner. Our wedding day was so hectic that we never got an actual chance to eat so we met some of our family that evening at the Murfreesboro Cracker Barrel to grub before we passed out and this has become a tradition.
After all of this fun and then two bottles of red wine, I have to say I enjoyed another lovely day with my bride.

Oh my goddd.
I must say it’s … very very very cool place.
